Mustache transplantation is performed with the FUE method. Hair roots (grafts) taken from specific regions are immediately transplanted to the previously determined area with an esthetic angle. The most important issue of the process, which does not differ from hair transplantation in terms of application, is that a natural appearance is obtained after the operation. Since the mustache hairs grow close to the skin, the transplantation must be applied at this angle.
WHERE ARE THE HAIR ROOTS TAKEN FROM?
In beard and mustache transplantation the hair roots are taken from any desired area, in line with the requirments and they are applied to the beard and mustache regions.
In general, beard transplantation of around 3000 roots gives a satisfying result. If the transplantation is only going to be applied on the mustache area, transplantation of 400-800 roots will be sufficient. In beard transplantation, when its washed the next day, there will be no apparent problem in the area from where the hair roots were collected but there will be a pinkish appearance for 1-2 weaks. There are no scars left in the area from where the hair roots are collected in the body or the nape. If the roots are taken from the body, it does not matter since they are featurless hair. If they are collected from the nape, the hair in the nape is diluted equally with the quantitiy of the roots collected. According to the studies, there is no noticeable difference even if 10.000 roots are collected from the nape.

BEARD TRANSPLANTATION AND BEARD CONDENSATION TECHNIQUE
The transplantation process is performed by taking the hair roots from the overflowing parts of the beard, that is the neck and the cheekbone, and applying them to the sparse areas of the beard with a natural appearance. In carefully performed graft collections, there are no scars left behind. Besides, collecting the hair roots from these areas, create an application of permanent lazerepilation.
In case of regional beard loss, the transplantation is planned according to the thickness of the beard nearby and the hairless area becomes suitable with the region. If there is no beard at all, around 1000-3000 roots can ve transplanted according to the desired thickness and shape of the patient. At a completely beardless person, 400 roots at the beard and chin each, 100 roots each at the sideburns, 1000 roots in total provide a significant change of appearance even though it is sparse.
AFTER BEARD AND MUSTACHE TRANSPLANTATION
Right after the transplantation, because of the blood clots coming out from where the needles were stuck in, a dark red appearance occurs in the areas where the beard and mustache were transplanted, but it washes away during the first bath. The area where the beard and mustache was transplanted is washed after 24-48 hours. Since the blood clots are cleansed after being washed, the transplanted beard becomes visible and a 2-3 day beard appearance shows up. An increase of blooding occurs in the transplantation area. The reason of this is that the transplanted beard is better nurtured by the body. Small acne like redheads comprise in the roots of the hairs, this slightly red appearance disappears in 1-2 weaks and the normal appearance ingenerates.
