Hair transplantation is performed with twomethods; FUT and FUE.
THE FUT TECHNIQUE
In the FUT technique the grafts are performed by applying local anesthesia. They are taken from the donor area as sections, and after the operation the area from which the grafts were taken is closed up by putting in stitches. In this technique the healing process grows longer and an apparent stich mark is left in the area from where the grafts were taken.
THE FUE TECHNIQUE
In this technique, the graftsare collected one by one from the donor area and transferred one by oneto the transplantation area. It does not leave a scarbehind after the operation since no stitches are applied. Forthis reason the FUE technique has become the most preferred and popular technique in the recent years. After the operation there is a 7-day healing process and later on no scarsare left behind on the skin.
