The patient’s hair should be gently washed by the operating team, thus the scalp should be purified from blood.
Partial pain and partial numbness may be felt.
Day 3
Slight redness may occur and swelling in the forehead area may be observed.
The pain is completely gone. The feeling of numbness may slightly continue.
Day 3-4
If ice application is not performed andno attention is paid on the lying position, swelling may be observed on the nose, around the eyes and on the upper cheek area.
The remaining scabs in the donor area are continued
Day 10
Finally, the grafts are completely settled in their places and it is impossible for them to come out. Hair can be shampooed with a normal shampoo and gently combed.
The donor area has returned to normal.
Week 2
The transplanted hair begins to slowly shed.
Week 3
The shedding of the transplanted hair continues. The patient may cut his/her hair if he/she wants to.
One Month
The hair roots are in resting position. Hair returns to its previous state before the transplantation and it can be dyed in this period if required.
2-5 Month
The transplanted hair begins to grow. At first it is quite thin. The shedded hair begins to permanently grow in this stage.
6-9 Month
The transplanted hair now comes in a size that it can be combed. Both its growth and its increase in volume continue. There may be some changes in thescalp tissue.
10 Month
The patient is observed in this month.
1 Year
Hair has reached its final appearance. If a new session is being thought of, the decision is made in this period.
1-2 Year
Additional fillings may be performedupon request. The areas, which experienced tissue changes, have now returned to normal.
